Short update today:

Finally the Yankes have a good series with Boston and win 2 games to 1. Arod had
some big hits and seems to be getting on track.

It seems the Mets are going to be getting former Yankee Orlando Hernadez (EL
Duque) as an addition to their pitching staff. The guy is old but he can still
bring it.

Out.

Cavs are out

Well, the best series in the NBA playoffs is over. The Pistons beat the Cavs last night in game 7. Lebron can only do so much when he's the only guy on the team. The Eastern Conference finals will be Heat v Pistons. Tonight's games are Mavs v Spurs and Clippers v Suns. While I'd like to see the Clippers win I'm predicting a Spurs v Suns Western Conference Final.

In baseball, the Mets won the subway series 2 games to 1 over the weekend. Yanks won the second game in extra innings but lost the first game in the ninth and lost last night 4-3.

NBA: So I was wrong about the Cavs (not that I'm sad about that.) They are now tied 2-2 with the Pistons. This series has suddenly gotten alot more interesting.

NHL: As I predicted, it is indeed a Carolina v Buffalo Conference Final. Even if you are not into hockey like me, it should be a good series. GO Sabres!

MLB: Bonds aka Steroid Boy is still 1 HR behind The Babe. Oh the suspense.
Even though they got beat last night by Texas, they Yanks have been really smoking lately and lead the division. Might as well give them the pennant right now ;) .

NFL: Mini camps have already started for some teams. The NFL never really has an offseason anymore. Reggie Bush pulled a hamstring in Saints minicamp and I'm sure everyone on the coaching staff had a grabber when it happened. It dosn't look serious thought and he is expected to be set to go in a week.

So the Red Sox beat the Yanks last night, giving them 2 out of 3 and the series win. I stayed up for the whole game and slept though my alarm clock this morning, making me late for work. What a waste lol. Oh well, we'll get em' next time.

In other news as they say, rumor has it that Ricky Williams is probably going to play for the CFL (Canadian Football Leauge) next year. THe Dolphins have aid they have no problem releasing him to allow him to do that. No freaking kidding, I'm sure they are praying for someone, anyone, to take that loser off their hands.

Yanks vs As tonight 7:05 Eastern. Watch it.

May 10 Update

My sports observations for the day:

NHL: It's looking more and more like it will be a Carolina vs Buffalo finals. While I have no problem with either of these teams, the last thing the NHL wants is to smaller market teams in the final series. The ratings are going to blow.

NBA: I'm rooting for the Cavs but they will be luck if they win even one game against the Pistons. Brutal so far.

MLB: Bonds is almost at Ruths record. Only Giants fans care.

The Yanks got creamed by Boston last night. You know things are bad when Bernie Williams of all people gets tossed for jawing with an ump and throwing his helmet. That guy never loses his cool. With Mussina on the mound tonight, hopefully the Yanks will get some revenge.
