Quick sports takes for the day:

Yankees

Roger Clemens looked great on his first outing….against the Pirates. Lets hope he’s as good the second time around.

Speaking of which, man the Yanks have been on fire! Only 4.5 games back in the wildcard and gaining ground on the Bosox. They won again last night against Arizona. Maybe the season will be exciting after all!

Rumor has it that Jorge Posade will be exploring free agency. All I can say is NOOOOOOOOOOO!

MLB

Justin Verlander of the Tigers pitched a no hitter 2 nights ago. I’ve always thought he was a cool pitcher, that’s awesome for him.

NBA

I thought the NBA Finals were going to be great but instead the games have been just awful. No one else on the Cavs besides Lebron can play. I expect the Spurs to complete the sweep tonight.

Quick sports take for today:

Baseball

Believe it or not Randy Johnson just passed Roger Clemens for second on the all time strike out list last night…he is now ahead of him by one strike out. Who woulda thunk it.

Last night Yanks won, Boston lost. Baby steps haha…

Gary Sheffield (Tigers) a few days ago said that the reason there are more and more Hispanic players in baseball is that they are “easier to control than black players.” That guy just continues to show how stupid he is.

The reason Clemens isn’t starting until this weekend is because he has a ‘fatigued groin”. When Yanks GM Brian Cashman was asked about this he said "This is something that is the reality of Roger," Cashman said. "Throughout his career, he's had a lot of injuries there in the groin. Historically, he gets through it. He knows his body and this is part of him."
Joe Torre had this to say, "I know he's getting up there in age and all that stuff," Torre said. "Knock on wood, the only issues he's had have been with the lower half of his body. That's pretty good."

Hahahahah. Oh my gosh, Wow…

On that note. OUT.

6/5/07

Ya ya, another long delay between postings. My excuse is that things have been so busy lately…the busiest time of the year at work, my brother moved in with me for the summer (evening gauntlet fests on PS2, OYA), I’m looking for a house, my fiancee is trying to get into St. Rose, blah blah blah. But excuses ‘don’t mean nuthin’. I will keep trying to stay current with this page.

Quick sports takes:

Baseball

Lou Pinella is a tard. His back to back tantrums against the umps were obviously planned out and fake, not to mention ridiculous. He needs to tone it down.

Speaking of tantrums, if you haven’t seen the video of the Braves Minor Leauge manager, you don’t know what your missing. YouTube is your friend.

The Yanks just keep sucking. It was nice that they took 2 of 3 from the Red Sox, but they are still 12 ½ games out. The division is already lost. They are only 6 ½ games behind Detroit in the wild card though. So Yankee fans still definitely have something to root for.

Basketball

Lebron Jameswitch. He has taken Cleveland to it’s first NBA Final and has given the casual fan a reason to watch these games. I also root for Cleveland as a sentimental favorite since I was born there, so I can’t wait to watch Lebrontion.

Football

The new NFL Commissioner is laying down the law hard for bad off the field behavior. Tank Johnson, Pacman Jones, etc.. He is doing his best to clean up the sport’s image and I applaud him forit.

The Michael Vick aka Ron Mexico dog fighting story gets worse and worse. After seeing that horrible video on sports center of the fights at his home, I and most other people are completely disgusted. If these charges are true, Vick has got to go. Beside being an exciting but very one dimensional QB, he is obviously a loser as a person. I will keep you updated on this story,

OUT.
